Holoshell

Scan a card once. It's identified, priced, and counted.

Holoshell is shop inventory for trading card singles. Hold a card under a camera and it lands in your stock at today's market price.

Reads Lorcana, Magic, Pokémon and One Piece.

How it works

  1. Scan the card

Hold it under a camera. Holoshell reads the card and works out exactly which one it is, set and number included.

  2. Pick its condition

One key press, Near Mint through Damaged. The condition stays set until you change it, so a stack in the same shape goes quickly.

  3. It's in stock

The card is saved at today's market price and your count goes up by one. Scan the same card again and the count goes up again.

What it does today

Everything in this list is built and working.

  • Four games in one stock list

Lorcana, Magic, Pokémon and One Piece, scanned the same way and kept together.

  • A condition on every card

The same card in two conditions is counted as two separate lines.

    • Near Mint
    • Lightly Played
    • Moderately Played
    • Heavily Played
    • Damaged
  • Prices that follow the market

Each card is priced at market when you scan it, and every price refreshes overnight.

  • A second look at a dollar and up

Any card worth a dollar or more stops for a person to confirm before it saves. Cheaper cards save themselves.

  • Counting that keeps itself

Stock is counted per card, condition and finish, so foils and regular copies never get mixed.

  • A list of what sold

Mark a card sold and it comes off the count and onto a sold list, with the price it went for.

What's coming

Holoshell is new. Here is exactly where each piece stands.

Working now
  • Scanning for all four games
  • Condition, counting and market prices
  • The sold list
Being built now
  • A link to Square. A scanned card shows up at your register, and a sale at the register lowers the count in Holoshell.
Planned, not built
  • A Discord bot that answers "do you have this card?"
  • Customer want lists

Pricing for Holoshell has not been decided yet, so there is no price list here.
